EPFL Development Plan 2012 – 2016 : One Step Beyond

At its meeting of 28 and 29 September 2011, the CEPF approved the 2012-2016 development plan presented by EPFL. This document provides an overview of the achievements and positioning of our institution and outlines what the EPFL Direction aims to accomplish by the year 2020 : become one of the 10 best technological universities in the world and contribute towards the emergence of a new European university system.
This ambition is expressed in concrete terms in the objectives for the period 2012-2016 on the academic and institutional levels and with regard to the development of the campus. The initiatives described in this document represent our response to the complexity of scientific and technological developments and globalisation and the emergence of new academic actors in the world.
